Nick LeClair

Nick LeClair been playing around the NYC area for the past several years as a band member and side man. Versatile on both electric and acoustic guitar, Nick's honed his distinctive style and attack to influences such as CSNY, Fleet Foxes, John Scofield, all the way back to classical contemporaries such as Mauro Giuliani and Augustin Barrios. Nick offers introduction to the language of music theory to help students better understand the method behind the madness as well as lessons on other instruments such as banjo, mandolin, piano, bass, and ukelele. Currently, he tours with Steamboats, a vocal folk quartet which emphasizes the use of complex songwriting, vocal harmonies, and intricate finger-picking.

Mario Rincon

Specialities: Foik, country, flamenco, reggae, and songwriting

Mario is a natural born music maker with a diverse musical backround. His father, flamenco guitarist Reynaldo Rincon, gave him his first lessons on guitar and keyboard at age four. He gained formative experience as a vocalist with the New York Boys Choir from ages nine to thirteen. As a member of this acclaimed ensemble, Mario would share the stage with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Al Green, and Coolio and represent The United States at the 1998 pre-olympic ceremonies in Nagano, Japan. Mario has attended LaGuardia High School, pre-college programs at Manhattan School of Music and Berklee College of Music, and graduated from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music. He has studied various guitar styles with Jeff Peretz, Scott Hesse and grammy-nominee Michael Daves. He has also studied flamenco voice technique in Seville, Spain with Rocio Marquez.Today Mario performs regularly throughout the northeast with his father's flamenco troupe Romeria Flamenca, indie-reggae band Rocky and The Pressers and folk trio Steamboats. He lives in New York City.

Jon Jaffee
Specialties: Soul, funk, hip-hop, R&B, songwriting

Jon Jaffee is an accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist who has been crafting his unique blend of soul, funk, rock, and folk for over a decade. He is a trained singer and has sung with numerous choirs, such as The Jubilee Singers and The Soul Voices of SUNY Purchase College. Jon is currently a member of the bands The WonderMics, in which he is the primary songwriter and lead guitarist, and Steamboats, in which he plays guitar, mandolin, and sings. Jon has experience teaching beginner and intermediate guitar along with the basics of songwriting to both children and adults. Jon has also received his Masters degree in Social Work from NYU with a 
specialization in group therapy. He is a clinician at The Counseling and Psychotherapy Center, where he runs groups in Manhattan and Long Island. Jon has used music as a therapeutic tool with many clients and believes strongly in music’s ability to enrich our lives, fuel our creativity, and to recognize the value of harmony in all things.
